Incredible content. Well-researched, easy to follow, and I love the conversation between the two authors. I keep finding myself audibly gasping at profound lines all throughout and I'm only a couple of chapters in. I think this is a foundational work for our times, and for all non-indigenous folks like myself who want to learn the kinship worldview. Thanks for making it available Paperbacks and Frybread!!

This is such a unique book. The Mexican Indigenous storytelling is well written for young audience as well as adults, the dark color scheme and illustrations are captivating. Makes a great gift for a book in Spanish!

As Black Americans, we can have an unsteady relationship with American cities. Not this author. She has created a wonderful adventure that is full of love for the city and ALL that it offers. We readers see the city come alive through the inhabitants and their synergy. It is a beautiful, energetic read.
