Excited for this second book! I enjoy the writing and humor, while discussing historical truths happening in the world and within the main characters reality. I'm a full-time researcher and middle grade/YA books give me space to learn, read for fun, and rest my brain a little. I'm excited for this entire series, honestly!

Held by the Land is extremely well-written, striking a harmonious balance between Indigenous land knowledge and contemporary scientific language. This book is like a roadmap on how human beings can become a welcomed member of the ecosystem again, through exposure to land knowledge that is thousands of years old and how to harvest honorably and with respect for nature. As a biologist, this book aligns with but also transcends the scientific method and invites us to view nature as human beings once did before colonization. It is a love letter to our plant relatives and also an instruction manual on how to live well and view our surroundings. This book is showing me a path to wellness both spiritually and biologically through our ancestors’ medicine. I am so glad I got this book and can’t recommend it enough!

I love this serious, I find myself loling often at the writing and adorable characters. I am a full time professor and love reading and middle grades and YA books help rest my brain. This is a great addition to a young or older reader's collection.

I’m so excited about giving this set of books to my granddaughter. She loves books and reading and I know she will love having books with heroines that look like her.

this book is PHENOMENAL. i have been wanting to delve into some Tarot literature, but always got turned off by what was readily available here in the united states. I don't want to learn Tarot from colonizers - the religious beliefs, strict gender binaries, and overall ytness of how Tarot was transformed beginning in the 17th century have done us a great disservice as a humans. raider-white and toth should not have been allowed to shape Tarot as much as they have.

Christopher Marmolejo is a custodian of the ways of Tarot who takes joy in guiding people out of belief systems and thought processes that hinder their relationships with themselves, other beings, and Mother Earth. Christopher provides a perspective on the practice of Tarot that is sorely missing in many spiritual places in modern america. this book and it's author are a treasure. the only thing that could make me happier with this purchase is finding out there is a Red Tarot deck designed by Christopher Marmolejo themself.

My mystery grab bag was a perfect surprize package of three books, many stickers, a bookmark or two, a card and a puzzle! A "sequel" to Little Women, a historical Gilded Age novel about an aspiring businesswoman and a regional mystery. And I know LOTS of people like jigsaw puzzles but I LOVE THEM! And this one is gorgeous. A wonderful purchase - would recommend and repeat!
